Julia combines her clinical training with extensive experience as a yoga instructor to help patients benefit from movement and return to the activities they love. Julia has a special interest in hypermobility syndromes, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS, hEDS), as well as sports injuries, knee injuries, climbing injuries, and return-to-running programs. She is trained in Trigger Point Dry Needling (CMTPT/DN). Julia is fluent in Polish and Spanish and enjoys teaching yoga, playing bass, and partner dancing.

PELVIC FLOOR PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Alissa is a queer- and trans-affirming Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland–Baltimore. They bring a weight-neutral, body-affirming approach to care, integrating breath work and pelvic health principles across all treatment settings. Alissa is especially passionate about supporting queer and trans clients, people navigating pelvic pain or dysfunction, and pregnant and postpartum people.

Jess has a passion for orthopedics and performing arts rehabilitation. She uses hands-on techniques and specialized exercises to get dancers, circus artists, and runners back to doing the activities they love. Jess completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and George Washington University, and has presented research at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting on circus artist injury management.

Leah is dedicated to helping people of all genders recover from pain and injuries and get back to the activities they love. She specializes in EDS and hypermobility syndromes, and her advanced training in dry needling and hands-on techniques helps her accelerate the healing process for her patients. When she’s not at work, you’ll find Leah practicing partner acrobatics and taking care of her house plants.

FOUNDER AND OWNER

Lizzie founded Alliance Physical Therapy in April, 2023 with a mission to provide evidence-based, high-quality, inclusive physical therapy to the Baltimore community. She loves to teach and holds a position as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science teaching chronic pain, spine, and orthopedics. She has advanced training and clinical experience in treatment of spine conditions, total knee rehabilitation, rehab for the performing artist, and chronic pain.

Christina DeJoseph, M.S., NASM-CPT (She/Her)

PERSONAL TRAINER

Christina is a NASM-certified personal trainer specializing in functional strength training, injury prevention, and post-rehabilitation fitness. She is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds can build strength and confidence. Christina holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from McDaniel College and an M.S. in Conservation Medicine from Tufts University. As a former national champion snowboarder who has navigated her own injuries, she brings both performance expertise and a compassionate understanding of recovery to her coaching.
