Message from Alliance Physical Therapy owner and founder Lizzie Bellinger:
Alliance Physical Therapy provides trusted, well-reviewed physical therapy services to the LGBTQIA+ community every day. It takes nuance, understanding, and humility to provide fantastic care to a diverse population.
That’s why I compare getting to know you to having three cups of tea together. It’s about building relationships.
First cup of tea: Submit the “get to know you” form.
Second cup of tea: I will reach out to you by email to ask for your resume and schedule a get-to-know-you phone or video call.
Third cup of tea: Come in for an in-person interview. For PTs, this may include time to shadow during patient care.
If you want to get to know us, we want to get to know you.

CORE VALUES
Integrity
Integrity is the foundation of how we work and make decisions. It means acting honestly, consistently, and doing the right thing even when it is difficult or unobserved.
We expect each person to take personal responsibility for their actions, decisions, and outcomes. This includes owning mistakes without deflection, blame, or adopting a victim stance. When challenges arise, the expectation is not perfection, but accountability — naming issues clearly, engaging constructively, and contributing to solutions rather than escalating dysfunction.
The Physical Therapy Code of Ethics specifically names Integrity as one of its tenets. Fulfilling our legal and ethical obligations is a core facet of working in a healthcare practice. We work together as a team to understand any difficult situation that may arise and determine the appropriate course of action.
Transparency
Transparency is the foundation of trust within our team and in our relationships with patients, partners, and our community. We believe in communicating openly, sharing information honestly, and approaching conversations with clarity rather than assumptions. This includes helping our team understand how the business is performing, how decisions are made, and how financial realities influence the choices we make. By openly sharing information, we empower everyone to think like stakeholders and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.
Transparency also means putting all of our cards on the table in our interactions with others. Whether we are negotiating agreements, discussing expectations, or addressing challenges, we strive to be honest, direct, and respectful. We do not rely on hidden agendas, manipulation, or withholding information to gain an advantage. Instead, we communicate our needs, listen thoughtfully to others, and work toward solutions that are fair and sustainable for everyone involved. We believe that openness, paired with kindness and respect, creates stronger relationships and better outcomes.
Excellence
Excellence defines how we approach clinical care, service, and organizational culture. It is not a fixed standard but a continuous pursuit of better outcomes, better experiences, and better systems.
Feedback is a cornerstone of our culture of excellence. We actively seek input from patients, colleagues, and partners, and we treat feedback as essential data for improvement rather than criticism to be defended against. Constructive feedback is integrated into how we evolve our clinical practice, systems, and team dynamics.
Sustainability
Sustainability reflects our commitment to building a practice that can thrive long-term — for individuals, the organization, and the broader environment in which we operate. We practice wise financial stewardship by making thoughtful decisions about time, resources, and investments.
A key component of sustainability is preventing burnout. We recognize that high-quality care and professional longevity depend on manageable workloads, healthy boundaries, and recovery time. We encourage awareness of capacity and expect open communication when workloads become unsustainable, so adjustments can be made proactively rather than reactively.
We also recognize ecological responsibility and aim to reduce unnecessary environmental impact where possible.
Personal, Interpersonal and Professional Growth
We believe personal growth begins with self-awareness. We encourage each team member to reflect on their strengths, challenges, and biases to allow continuous personal development. We strive to define, communicate, and maintain boundaries that protect personal well-being, support resilience, and allow us to bring our best selves to our work.
We believe interpersonal growth is essential to a healthy team and exceptional patient care. We continuously work to strengthen our communication and collaboration with curiosity and respect. We embrace feedback as an opportunity to learn, recognizing that growth often happens through honest conversations, shared experiences, and a willingness to learn from one another.
We are committed to professional growth by continually expanding our knowledge, skills, and clinical expertise. We seek opportunities for development through continuing education, reading, mentorship, and hands-on experience. We also believe in contributing to the advancement of our profession through teaching at every level of the profession, from student interns to experienced clinicians.
