Learning Objectives
Participants will review joint anatomy of the spine and extremities.
Participants will practice manual therapy technique for the spine and extremities.
Participants will apply joint anatomy and kinematic motion to understand patient cases.
Participants will select appropriate manual therapy techniques to a patient case example.
Participants will demonstrate proficiency with psychomotor skills learned during the course.
This two-part course utilizes a small group format for accelerated acquisition of manual therapy skills for physical therapists with orthopedic clinical experience. Manual therapy techniques for the spine and extremities and relevant anatomy will be reviewed in detail, and participants will practice each technique to proficiency during the course. Therapists will leave with a detailed self-assessment tool to allow continued practice outside of course hours with colleagues or course participants. Techniques will be applied to patient case examples. Psychomotor learning will be assessed.
